“Yesterday is yesterday, today is tomorrow”.
A passionate executive from a major tech company said this at a meeting last week. It certainly speaks to the urgency that we find in business today. You’ve already lost today when it begins because you’re planning for tomorrow.
How much time gets lost by not having a clear plan and making sure everybody is on the same page? What are you doing today in your business that is really going to prepare your company or your business for tomorrow?
Don’t let the time get away from you. If you have a small team, on Mondays think about where you want to head. It’s like setting a GPS. Think about where you want to be by Friday. Set the goal of Friday and then think of what are the things you need to do to get there. That might sound like a productivity tip – but isn’t that what business is all about? Moving the needle.
